Ontstaan van Kabouterland

Psalm 121:1 en 2 Ek slaan my oë op na die berge: waar sal my hulp vandaan kom? My hulp is van die HERE wat hemel en aarde gemaak het.

Reana

Mom of Kabouterland

Kabouterland had a humble origin in 1990 in our house in Die Boord. I had two boys aged 3 years and 9 months respectively. I wanted to return to work but was shocked at the care available for babies and toddlers.

I decided to stay home and started caring for six more children. The school grew within 3 years to a total of 70 children with 10 staff members. The whole house was later used.

During this I had a dream that I was commissioned to build a school. I saw the piece of ground clearly in my dream. The following day I went searching.

Paradyskloof was then under development and here a Trek Garage that I also saw in my dream. Next to it was an open piece of ground which also belonged to the garage. After trying for 5 years, I finally bought the property from Engen in 1996. It was rezoned and the school was built. Of course, I had a massive bond, which kept me on my knees.

During 1997 we moved into the new school building and quickly grew to our maximum capacity of pre-schoolers. We currently have a total of 40 staff members.
